EMERGING ART MARKETS PANEL: Sandra Walters, Business Head Asia for FAWM
Sandra Walters co-founded and directed one of Hong Kong's premier contemporary galleries, Alisan Fine Arts, prior to establishing her own consultancy business in 1990. Her early involvement in the Hong Kong art scene has enabled her to develop an extensive network of artists and galleries both in Asia and globally. Mrs. Walters is a frequent lecturer on art related topics and has been actively involved as a member of the Hong Kong Arts Administrators' Association, having served on the Board of Governors for two consecutive terms. She has also served on the Board of Governors for the Hong Kong Arts Centre as Deputy Chairman for four years. Mrs. Walters has served twice as a member of the panel of adjucators of the Philippe Charriol Foundation Modern Art Competition as well as a judge to select awards for the Hong Kong Artists' Guild. In 1990, she was awarded the Chevalier des Arts et Lettres by the French government for her support of the arts and cultural exchanges.
